Jeff Mills, Coordinator Community Development, Mills Community Support a Mississippi Mills based agency that provides housing and other supports and services for area seniors, persons with disabilities and families. Jeff works in Lanark County using Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) techniques and believes that people are the key to making truly welcoming communities.
Jeff studied at the Ontario College of Art and Humber College (photography).
He has worked as a carpenter, a photographer, a bus driver, Seniors Home Support worker and stay at home dad. Jeff was a co-owner of a small group seniors’ travel business.
Jeff is an avid cyclist and founder of Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month and the Eastern Ontario Active Transportation Summit.
He has been awarded the Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee Medals for his community service as well as the Mississippi Mills Cultural Volunteer Award.
